UNDERWATER SWIMMING & FINISHES
Tools to master the 5th Competitive Swimming stroke. Today up to 60% of races can be performed underwater
and if you are not using this swimmers weapon, then you will get left behind! Learn the art of fast, effective underwater swimming. Clinic covers body position, alignment, body line and kick propulsion.

FAST TURNS & BREAKOUTS
Instruction of basic and advanced fundamentals for efficient, fast turns. The Clinic provides step-by-step progressions for the approach, transition, and changes of directions for all 4 strokes. We also develop strategies for the “breakout” the execution and transition into the first stroke.
Fast Turns & Breakouts – Sunday May 19th 12-4 PM (MRU Recreation)
IM SWIMMING AND TURNS
Putting it all together. Join us for tips and tools for making our IM faster. Clinic will demonstrate technical and tactical planning for IM Swimming including all transitional turns. We also cover a breakdown of race strategies for IM events which include specific tips for effective stroke transitioning.

PERFORMANCE PREPARATION & RACE STRATEGIES
If successful competitive swimming was only about SWIMMING FAST – then swimmers need only focus on the physical elements of training and racing. Fact is the nature of competition requires athletes to swim fast when stressed and fatigued and when experiencing the pressures of the competitive environment. The Clinic will demonstrate techniques to managing these stressors.
